Mija, Yes You Can® gives back to senior citizens with ‘Mas Amor, Por Favor’

The Mija Project is gearing up for another give-back project and seeking public support for the senior citizen community.

The pandemic has taken a toll on all populations of the community however, seniors confined to care homes have been especially isolated. Local nursing homes have seen spikes in coronavirus cases and ongoing quarantine efforts have kept families from visits, leaving senior citizens vulnerable to loneliness. Hundreds of local nursing home residents all over the globe have been subjected to restrictions with family visits involving glass window barriers, video conferencing, and sometimes, no visiting capacity at all.

The “Mas Amor, Por Favor” project, intends to bring some Valentine’s Day love and warmth to the residents of SunRidge at Cielo Vista. We will be sending love to this local assisted-living facility by sending “Un Abrazo”.

Although physical hugs are not an option, the safe alternative of care packages, or “abrazos,” the Mijas would include some tokens of our love:

· An official “Mas Amor Por Favor” shirt

· A warm blanket

· A pair of cozy socks

· A Mija’s Valentine’s Day card
